Keep a Smooth Frame Rate on a Low-End or Potato PC
NyxaVora Shaders is designed to run well even on very weak computers. You can usually turn it on without a big drop in frame rate. If your game still stutters, the vanilla video settings are often the cause, not the shader.
Tune Vanilla Settings First
Open Options → Video Settings and adjust these:
1. Render Distance: Lower it a few steps. This setting usually has the biggest impact on any computer.
2. Simulation Distance: Lower it if your loader shows it. This reduces the work your computer does on far-away areas.
3. Graphics: Switch from Fabulous to Fancy or Fast.
4. Clouds and Particles: Reduce or turn these off for extra headroom.
5. Max Framerate: Set this to match your monitor so the game does not waste power.
Compare With and Without the Shader
1. Press F3 to open the debug screen and note your FPS while NyxaVora Shaders is active.
2. Open Video Settings → Shader Packs, set shaders to Off, and check your FPS again in the same spot.
3. Turn NyxaVora Shaders back on.
If the two numbers are close, the shader is not your bottleneck. Keep lowering render distance until the game feels smooth.
Check Your Shader Pack Options
On the Shader Packs screen, open the pack's settings if it has any. Lower any effects that sound demanding until performance improves.
