Build Comfortably with Clear Textures Under the Shader
Some shaders make blocks hard to tell apart, which can be frustrating while you build. NyxaVora Shaders keeps the original block textures clear and easy to recognize. You can leave it on during long building sessions and still choose the right materials.
Building in Daylight
1. Work during the day when you can. The warm daylight and bright tones make the colors in your palette easy to read.
2. Place a test row of similar blocks side by side, such as different planks or stone types. This lets you confirm how each one looks under the shader before you commit to a large design.
3. Keep in mind that the shader softens block edges. Check the overall shape of your build from a distance as well as up close.
Building at Night
The calm night skies are pleasant to work under, but you should still light your area as usual. Torches, lanterns, and other light sources keep mobs away exactly as they do in vanilla. The shader changes how things look, not how the game behaves.
Comparing to the Vanilla Look
If you want to know how your build looks to friends who play without shaders, follow these steps:
1. Open Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs.
2. Select Off and look at your build in vanilla.
3. Switch back to NyxaVora Shaders when you are done.
Because the shader keeps textures recognizable, a build that looks good with it on will usually still read clearly in vanilla.
