Use the Improved Visibility

NoShadow Shaders removes the dark shadow layers that normally obscure cave floors and walls. This means you can see ore veins, hostile mobs, and hazards much more clearly without lighting up every single block.

Mine Strategically

While you'll need fewer torches overall, still place them occasionally for:

• Marking your path back to the surface
• Preventing mob spawning in areas you've cleared
• Creating safe zones to work in

The shader doesn't add light—it just removes shadows—so very dark areas will still be dim. However, you'll spot resources like diamonds, iron, and copper far more easily than in vanilla survival. This is especially useful in deep caves where shadows normally hide valuable ore.

Combine this with your normal mining techniques. The reduced shadow darkness simply gives you better visibility to work faster and safer without the tedious torch placement that vanilla mining requires.
