How do I turn on NoShadow Shaders after installing it?
Open your Options menu in-game, go to Video Settings, then Shaders, and select NoShadow Shaders from the list. The shader will activate immediately and you'll see the world become brighter.
Why do caves still look dark even with NoShadow Shaders on?
NoShadow Shaders removes block shadows but doesn't add light sources—you still need actual light from torches, lanterns, or other blocks to see in unlit areas. The difference is you won't see harsh shadow gradients making caves appear darker than they actually are.
Does NoShadow Shaders work in multiplayer?
Yes, it's a client-side shader that only affects your own view. Other players won't see the changes, and the server doesn't need any special configuration.
Will NoShadow Shaders break my frame rate?
No—it actually improves frame rate by skipping shadow calculations that normally slow down rendering. You should see better performance than vanilla, especially on low-end hardware.
