Troubleshoot Common NOISE Shader Issues

Fix Performance Problems

If your game stutters or runs slowly after enabling NOISE, the shader pack is demanding more from your GPU than your system can handle. Try these steps: lower your render distance from 16 to 12 chunks, disable or reduce cloud rendering, and set Graphics to Fancy rather than Ultra (if available).

Close background applications that use GPU resources. Update your graphics card drivers to the latest version—shader packs rely heavily on GPU performance, and outdated drivers cause lag.

Resolve Visual Glitches

If water reflections look broken, the sky appears wrong, or shadows flicker, try these fixes: restart Minecraft completely, then re-enable NOISE. If the problem persists, temporarily disable any other visual mods (like custom resource packs) to check for conflicts.

If certain blocks or entities look corrupted, your shader may be incompatible with your specific Minecraft version. Check that NOISE supports your current game version. As a last resort, remove NOISE, restart the game, then reinstall it fresh.
