Set Up NOISE Shaders for the First Time
Install and Enable the Shader Pack
NOISE is a shader pack that works with Minecraft's graphics rendering. After downloading, place the shader pack file into your shaderpacks folder (usually found in your .minecraft directory). Launch Minecraft with a shader-compatible mod loader already installed.
In the main menu, open Video Settings, then look for the Shaders option. Click on it to open the shader selection screen. You should see NOISE listed among available packs. Select it and confirm.
Adjust Your Graphics Settings
Once NOISE is active, return to Video Settings. For the best experience, set Graphics to Fancy (not Fast), enable clouds, and ensure Smooth Lighting is on. These vanilla settings work together with NOISE to enhance its cinematic effects.
If your game runs slowly, try lowering your render distance slightly or reducing other demanding settings. NOISE adds extra processing for lighting and reflections, so older computers may need to balance visual quality with performance.
You can toggle the shader on and off anytime from the Shaders menu without restarting the game.
