Adjust Shader Intensity to Reduce Eye Strain

Access Shader Settings

Open your pause menu and navigate to Options → Video Settings → Shaders. Look for the No More Brightness Shaders configuration panel. This is where you control how much the shader dims your daylight.

Fine-Tune Brightness Reduction

The shader provides slider controls to adjust the intensity of the daylight softening effect. If you find the default dimming too aggressive, reduce the brightness reduction slider to preserve more of vanilla's original light levels. Conversely, if you still experience eye strain during extended play, increase the effect slightly.

Test Your Settings

After adjusting, exit to your world during daytime and observe how the sunlight feels. Spend 10-15 minutes playing to ensure the new settings are comfortable for your eyes. You can return to settings at any time without restarting your game.

Remember that optimal brightness varies by monitor type, room lighting, and personal sensitivity. Don't hesitate to revisit these settings as your comfort needs change throughout gaming sessions.
