Capturing Great Screenshots of Night Skies and Swaying Forests
Neon Reverie Shaders adds glowing night skies full of stars and fantasy colors, clean daytime shadows and gently swaying leaves and grass. Here's how to show these effects off in your screenshots.
Shooting the Night Sky
1. Find open ground away from bright builds, such as a hilltop or a flat plain.
2.
3. Press F1 to hide your HUD and hand.
4. Tilt your view so the sky fills most of the frame. Leave a line of trees or terrain along the bottom for scale.
5. Press F2 to save the screenshot to your screenshots folder.
Shooting Daytime Scenes
1. Find a forest or tall structure in daylight. The pack's clean shadows show up best under trees and around builds.
2. Choose your light angle. Stand where the sun casts shadows across the ground toward you, which shows depth better than flat midday light.
3. Show the movement. Leaves and grass sway in the breeze, so a still screenshot can catch a slightly different pose each time. Take several and keep your favorite.
4. Go near water. Water is one of the things the pack makes look more colorful, so frame a lake or river with trees around it.
5. Hide the HUD. Press F1 before pressing F2.
For a dramatic sequence, take the same shot at noon, at sunset and at night. This shows how the pack's lighting changes across the day.
