How do I turn on Neon Reverie Shaders?
Open Options, go to Video Settings, then Shader Packs, select Neon Reverie Shaders from the list and click Apply or Done. Shader packs need a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine, so if there is no Shader Packs button, the loader isn't running.
Neon Reverie isn't showing up in my shader list, what did I do wrong?
Make sure the pack file sits directly inside the shaderpacks folder and isn't nested inside an extra folder. Use the Open Shader Pack Folder button in the Shader Packs screen to check, then reopen the menu to refresh the list.
How do I get the colored lighting effect on my builds?
Place light sources in or around your build. Their glow paints nearby blocks and rooms with vivid color, and it stands out most in enclosed rooms, caves and at night when there is less sunlight competing with it.
When can I see the glowing night sky?
Wait for nightfall in clear weather and look up. The sky fills with bright stars and fantasy colors, and it is easiest to see in an open area away from bright light sources.
Why do some block surfaces look shinier or more detailed near torches?
That is the pack's PBR surface detail, which makes block textures react to nearby light sources. Hold or place a light next to a wall or floor to see the surface pick up highlights.
Neon Reverie is lagging, how do I get better FPS?
The pack is designed to run smoothly on medium hardware. If frame rates drop, lower your render distance first, then reduce heavier options like shadow quality in the pack's shader settings, which you can open from the Shader Packs screen.
Can I stop the leaves and grass from swaying?
Swaying foliage is part of the pack's look. Check the shader settings menu in the Shader Packs screen for a waving or foliage movement option, and turn it off there if it's available.
Does this shader change Minecraft's blocky style?
No. It keeps the classic vanilla look and adds colorful lighting, shadows and sky effects on top of it, so your builds still look like Minecraft blocks.
Can I use Neon Reverie on a multiplayer server?
Yes. Shaders run only on your own client, so they work on any server, and other players don't need the pack. Only you will see the effects.
Can I run Neon Reverie together with Complementary Reimagined?
Only one shader pack can be active at a time, so pick one in the Shader Packs menu. Neon Reverie already builds on Complementary Reimagined's style, so you keep that base look with brighter fantasy colors.
