Capture the Best Day, Night and Weather Shots

MinecraftShaderized Shaders adjusts sunlight and ambient sky colours through the day, changes visual tones at night across all dimensions, and reworks rain and clouds. Knowing when to shoot makes a big difference to your screenshots.

Pick the Right Moment

1. Sunrise and sunset. Sky colours shift and shadows stretch long because the sun sits low. This is the best time for showing off building shapes.

2. Midday. The sun is high, so shadows are short and directly beneath objects. Use this time for clear, evenly lit overviews of a base or landscape.

3. Night. Moonlight casts its own defined shadows, and torches and lanterns glow warmer. Shoot lit builds against the darker sky.

4. Rain. The pack cleans up rain and cloud visuals. Overcast scenes give a moody alternative to bright daylight.

Control Time and Weather

  • In single-player with cheats enabled, use vanilla commands to set the moment: /time set day, /time set night, /weather rain or /weather clear.
  • To freeze lighting while you frame a shot, run /gamerule doDaylightCycle false. Set it back to true when you're done.

Explore Other Dimensions

The shader changes visual tones in every dimension, not just the Overworld. Bring a camera trip to the Nether and the End to see how each looks under the pack. Hide the HUD with F1 and capture with F2.
