Turn On Luxor Low End Shaders in Your Shader Loader

Luxor Low End Shaders is a shader pack. It needs a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine. It does not work as a normal mod or resource pack.

Put the pack in the right folder

1. Launch Minecraft with your loader active.

2. Open Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs. On Iris, this screen may also open from the Shader Packs button in Video Settings.

3. Click Open Shader Pack Folder. This opens the shaderpacks folder, not the resourcepacks folder.

4. Drop the Luxor Low End Shaders file into that folder. Leave it zipped.

5. Go back to the game. The pack should now appear in the list.

Activate it and check it works

1. Click Luxor Low End Shaders in the list to select it.

2. Press Apply, then Done. Expect a short pause while the shaders compile.

3. Load a world and look for these signs:

  • Warmer daylight across open terrain.
  • Clearer water with gentle reflections.
  • Blocks that still look like vanilla.

The pack is designed to keep Minecraft's classic look. Don't expect a dramatic change in block appearance. The difference shows mostly in lighting and water.

If the pack doesn't appear in the list, check that it is in shaderpacks and not inside an extra subfolder. To switch back to plain vanilla, select OFF or (none) in the same menu.
