Turn On Lucid Clarity Shaders In-Game with Iris or OptiFine
Lucid Clarity is a shader pack, not a regular mod. It only shows up once a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine is running. Use one loader, not both at the same time.
Put the pack where the loader can see it
1. From the main menu, open Options > Video Settings.
2. Open the shader menu. In Iris this is Shader Packs. In OptiFine it is Shaders.
3. Click the button that opens the shaderpacks folder. Your game folder has a separate resourcepacks folder, but shader packs belong in shaderpacks.
4. Make sure the Lucid Clarity pack sits directly in that folder. Leave it as the zip file you have. If you unzipped it, make sure you didn't end up with an extra folder wrapped around it.
5. Close the folder and return to the shader menu. The pack should now appear in the list.
Activate it and check the result
1. Select Lucid Clarity in the list.
2. Click Apply (Iris) or Done (OptiFine). The first load can take a moment while the shaders compile.
3. Load a world and step outside in daylight. You should see softer, brighter lighting while the blocks keep their classic vanilla look.
4.
To go back to plain vanilla visuals, return to the same menu and choose the off or none option. Your worlds aren't changed in any way.
