Explore More Safely at Night Using Lucid Clarity's Clear Night Skies
One of Lucid Clarity's main goals is better visibility while exploring. It cleans up daytime brightness and gives you clear night skies. Here is how to make the most of that after dark.
Read the night sky and terrain
1. With the pack active, step outside after sunset and give your eyes a moment on the horizon. A clearer sky makes ridgelines, tree lines and tall structures easier to pick out against it.
2. Use those silhouettes to navigate. Climb a hill and scan for villages, mountains or coastlines before travelling in the dark.
3. Watch the ground near you for movement. Hostile mobs still spawn in dark areas, so better visibility is a warning system, not a safety net.
Combine the shader with vanilla tools
- Torches and lanterns: Place them along your route. They mark your way back and stop mobs from spawning nearby. The pack's softer lighting keeps lit areas pleasant rather than harsh.
- Night Vision potions: Drink one for long trips or underwater exploring.
- Brightness slider: Try raising Brightness in Options > Video Settings. Some shader setups ignore this slider. If nothing changes, check whether the pack offers its own options in the shader menu.
- Beds: If you just want daylight, sleep through the night. You get Lucid Clarity's bright daytime lighting back right away.
If nights still look too dark on your screen, check your monitor's own brightness settings before you change anything in-game.
