Getting the Best Water Reflections and Exploring Each Dimension's Sky
Lucent Realms Shaders adds clear water reflections with gentle ripples. It also gives the Overworld, Nether, and End their own custom skies. Here is how to see both at their best.
Water reflections
1. Find open water: Go to an ocean or a wide river. Large, flat surfaces show reflections more clearly than small puddles.
2. Lower your viewpoint: Stand on the shore or in a boat near the water. Looking across the surface at a shallow angle shows more of the reflected sky and scenery. Looking straight down mostly shows the water itself.
3. Put something on the far bank: Builds, trees, or cliffs across the water make the reflection easier to see. The ripples will gently warp them.
4. Watch at sunrise and sunset: The changing sky colors reflect across the water. This is a good time for screenshots.
5. Water features in builds: If you are designing a base, add a moat, pond, or canal next to it. It will mirror your structure.
Touring the custom skies
The pack replaces the sky in all three dimensions, so each trip shows something new.
- Overworld: Watch a full day cycle from a high, open spot like a mountain peak. This lets you see how the sky changes over time.
- Nether: Step through a portal and look upward from an open area, such as a large basalt or wastes region.
- End: After reaching the End, look out from the edge of an island toward the void. You will see that dimension's custom sky.
