Compare Visual Differences Between Shader Profiles
Load Each Profile One at a Time
LitePerf Shaders offers multiple balanced profiles for different hardware levels. Switch between them in your shader options menu. Each profile changes how lighting, shadows, and brightness are handled.
Test in Consistent Conditions
To fairly compare profiles, visit the same location at the same time of day. Stand in the same spot and switch profiles without moving. This lets you see exactly how each one affects the same scene—notice differences in shadow depth, overall brightness, and color tone.
Pay Attention to Performance Impact
While comparing visuals, also watch your frame rate. A profile might look slightly better but cost you 10 FPS. Decide whether the visual improvement is worth the performance trade-off on your hardware.
Check Multiple Environments
Profiles can look different depending on location. Test in caves (where lighting matters most), forests (where shadows are visible), and open sky (where brightness is obvious). A profile that looks good in one place might not suit another.
Settle on Your Preference
There's no "best" profile—choose the one that looks good to you and runs smoothly. You can always switch later if your priorities change.
