How to Plan Builds and Pick Block Colors While Everything Is Greener

It's 25 Greener! Shaders lays a uniform green tone over every block, so colors on screen are not quite what other players without the pack will see. Block shapes and textures stay vanilla, so this mostly affects color choices.

Comparing your palette

1. Gather the blocks you plan to use and place a small sample row of each in daylight.

2. Study the row with the pack active.

3. Open Options > Resource Packs... and move the pack out of Selected to disable it.

4. Look at the same row again in normal colors. Note any blocks that looked closer together or more alike under the tint than they really are.

5. Re-enable the pack and keep building.

Practical building tips

  • Greens and grass blend more. Leaves, grass and green-toned blocks get an extra boost. Check that hedges and lawns still stand apart the way you intend.
  • Whites and grays shift. Light stone, quartz-like and snowy blocks pick up a green cast. Verify trim and accents in normal colors.
  • Interiors and caves are tinted too. The tone covers deep caves and dim areas. Judge lighting and wall colors with the pack off if accuracy matters.
  • Sharing builds. If you post screenshots for others, consider taking them with the pack disabled so viewers see the real colors, or mention that the green look comes from the shader.
