It’s 25 Greener! Shaders FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on the green tint?
It runs on the vanilla graphics pipeline, so you enable it from the Resource Packs screen in Options rather than a separate shader menu. Move it into the Selected list, click Done, and your world should immediately look greener.
Do I need OptiFine or Iris for It's 25 Greener! Shaders?
No. The pack works through Minecraft's built-in vanilla graphics pipeline, so it doesn't need a separate shader loader to apply the tint.
How do I switch back to normal colors?
Open the Resource Packs screen, move the pack from Selected back to Available, and click Done. The colors return to vanilla, and you can re-enable the pack the same way whenever you want the tint back.
Does it change block textures or models?
No. It doesn't change any core block models and keeps the classic vanilla art style. It only lays a uniform green tone over what you already see.
What does the green tint actually affect?
Everything on screen. Blocks, skies, items and mobs all get the same green boost in every biome, including caves, plains and your builds.
Will this shader pack lag my game?
It's designed to have a low impact on performance because it uses the vanilla pipeline instead of a heavy lighting engine. If you see a big FPS drop, another pack or mod is more likely to be the cause.
The green tint isn't showing up. What's wrong?
First check that the pack is in the Selected list on the Resource Packs screen. Then move it to the top, because other resource packs that replace vanilla shaders can override it. If you're also running a shader pack through a shader loader, turn that off, since it can replace the vanilla pipeline this pack relies on.
Can I make it more or less green?
The pack applies one fixed, uniform green shift across the whole screen. If you want normal colors for a while, the practical option is to toggle the pack off on the Resource Packs screen.
Will other players on a server see everything green too?
No. It only changes how the game looks on your own screen. Other players see normal colors unless they enable the pack themselves.
How do I pick block colors for builds when everything looks greener?
The tint is applied evenly, so contrast between blocks stays readable, but greens and blues will look closer together than they really are. For a build that should look right to everyone, toggle the pack off briefly to check your palette in normal colors.
