Set Up a Cursed Hologram Theme for a Multiplayer Server or Survival World
Hologram Shaders creates a bizarre sci-fi look where every mob, player and item becomes a glowing projection. Meanwhile, the world itself stays vanilla. That contrast makes it a fun theme for a survival playthrough or a group server.
Get everyone seeing the same thing
Shader packs run on each player's own computer, not on the server. Each person who wants the hologram look has to set it up themselves:
1. Install a shader loader, such as Iris or OptiFine, in their own game.
2. Place Hologram Shaders in their own shaderpacks folder.
3. Enable it under Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs.
Players who skip this will see normal Minecraft. Nothing breaks for them, and they can still join and play together with everyone else. Because the pack runs well on low-end hardware, friends on budget laptops can usually join in too.
Ideas for using the theme
- Hologram survival: play a normal survival world where every creature looks like a projection. Telling a creeper from a zombie at a glance is part of the fun.
- Screenshots and recordings: stand players together in third person (F5) in front of a vanilla build. Glowing figures against untouched blocks make striking images.
- Item displays: drop items on the floor of a build. They will appear as holographic objects, like a sci-fi showroom.
- Mob farms and villages: crowded areas full of holographic mobs make the cursed effect most obvious.
