Turn On Extraterrestrial Expanse Shaders and Check That It's Working
Extraterrestrial Expanse Shaders is a shader pack, so it needs a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine. It does nothing on its own.
Enable the pack
1. Launch Minecraft with your shader loader active.
2. Go to Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs. In Iris you can also open this from the main Options menu.
3. If the pack isn't listed, click the button that opens the shader pack folder. Place the pack file there, then return to the menu so the list refreshes.
4. Select Extraterrestrial Expanse Shaders and click Apply or Done.
5. Load a world. The first load can take a little longer while shaders compile.
Confirm every feature is active
Walk around and check each effect the pack adds:
- Soft shadows: Stand near a tree or building in daylight. Shadows should fall across the ground with soft edges.
- Bloom: Look toward the sun, the bright sky, or a torch at night. Bright areas should glow.
- Reflections: Find a lake or ocean. The water surface should reflect its surroundings.
- Moving foliage: Watch grass and leaves. They should sway gently.
If none of these appear, the loader probably isn't running. Recheck that Iris or OptiFine is installed for the game version you launched.
If only some effects are missing, open the pack's settings from the Shader Packs screen. Make sure those options aren't switched off.
