Capture Great Screenshots with Extraterrestrial Expanse Water and Bloom
The pack's reflective water, glowing bloom, and fantasy-tinted lighting make it ideal for showcase screenshots. Here's how to set up a shot that shows them off.
Pick the right scene
1. Water: Find a calm lake or ocean with interesting terrain or builds along the shore. Reflections look best when there's something to reflect.
2. Time of day: Use sunrise or sunset. Bright sky and sun produce strong bloom, and the low light shows off the soft shadows across terrain.
3. Night shots: Place torches, lanterns, or other bright light sources near water. Bloom will glow around them, and the water will mirror the light.
4. Foliage: Include grass and leaves in the foreground. Their motion adds life to recorded clips.
Frame and capture
1. Press F1 to hide the HUD and your hand.
2. Raise Render Distance temporarily for a deeper horizon. Lower it again afterward if performance suffers.
3. If your machine can handle it, raise the pack's quality options in its settings menu for the shot only.
4. Press F2 to take the screenshot. Images save to the screenshots folder in your Minecraft directory.
Tips
- Crouch near the waterline for a low angle. This maximises the reflection in frame.
- Try the same spot in several biomes. The pack applies its look everywhere, so each biome gives a different mood.
