The most common reason the effect doesn't appear is that you're not wearing an official Twitch cape. Verify that:

1. Your Minecraft account is linked to Twitch

2. You're actually wearing the cape in-game (check your character model)

3. You're in a dark enough environment to see the glow—it's subtle in bright daylight

Verify Shader Installation

Confirm the mod is properly loaded:

• Check that shader files are in the correct mod folder
• Restart your game completely after installation
• Make sure no conflicting shader mods are active

Lighting Conditions Matter

The emissive effect is designed to shine in darkness. Test it in:

• A deep cave (no natural light)
• Underground at night
• Inside a dark building

If the heart glows in these places but not in daylight, the mod is working correctly—the effect is simply less visible when ambient light is high. The shader preserves vanilla lighting for everything else, so it won't override natural brightness.
