Reduce Blur Intensity for Better Visibility
Why Blur Feels Too Strong
Sometimes the depth of field blur makes distant terrain too blurry to navigate or enjoy. This is especially noticeable when exploring or building at range. The shader's blur strength can be dialed down.
Lowering Blur Amount
Access your shader configuration panel. Search for settings like "Blur Strength," "Blur Amount," or "Depth of Field Intensity." Reduce this slider to make distant objects clearer while maintaining the depth effect. A lower value keeps the soft, focused aesthetic without obscuring your view.
Finding Your Balance
Start by reducing the blur by about 25-50% from default, then observe how the world looks. You want enough blur to create that camera-like effect, but not so much that you can't see what's ahead. Test in different lighting conditions—caves, forests, and open areas will show different results. If you're playing on a low-end system, reducing blur also improves performance slightly.
