Troubleshooting Visual Distortion and Performance Issues

Understanding the Visual Effects

If the screen appears too warped or you cannot see clearly:

• The spiral distortion intensifies over time—this is intentional design, not a bug
• The pulsing intensity naturally cycles between stronger and weaker effects
• Screen tears and vein overlays are permanent visual layers, not glitches
• The dark red tint and edge darkening are core features, not errors

Performance and Compatibility

Demonic Possession Shaders is visually intensive. If you experience lag:

• Reduce render distance in Video Settings
• Lower other graphics settings (particles, clouds, etc.)
• Close background applications to free up system resources
• Check that your graphics drivers are up to date

Disabling Temporarily

If the shader causes discomfort or you need to see clearly for building, return to Video Settings > Shaders and select "None." You can reactivate it anytime. The shader works best for gameplay focused on exploration and atmosphere rather than precise construction work.
