Keep Your Frame Rate Smooth in Survival with Dara Shaders
Dara Shaders is designed to run on the Iris loader without a heavy FPS drop, so it works for everyday survival, not just screenshots. If your game still feels sluggish, these steps help you find a comfortable balance.
Quick Vanilla Adjustments
Open Options > Video Settings and work through these one at a time, testing in-game after each change:
1. Lower render distance. This usually has the biggest impact, because shaders have to process everything you can see.
2. Reduce simulation distance if it is set higher than you need.
3. Turn down or disable clouds and particles. Busy scenes add extra work on top of the shader effects.
4. Check the frame-rate cap. If it is set below what your monitor can display, you may be limiting yourself.
Using the Shader Menu
1. Go to Video Settings > Shader Packs and select Dara Shaders.
2. If the pack offers a settings screen, open it and look for options tied to the most demanding effects, such as shadow quality.
3. Lower one setting at a time, apply, and check how the game feels in a demanding area like a dense forest or a busy base.
When to Switch Shaders Off
For intense moments like boss fights or large mob farms, you can turn shaders off from the same menu. Turn them back on when you return to building or exploring.
Aim for settings that keep the soft shadows and warm torchlight you enjoy while gameplay stays responsive.
