Turn On CRShaders and Check That the Ghibli Look Is Working

CRShaders is a shader pack, so it runs through a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine. It is not a resource pack, and it will do nothing if you place it in the resourcepacks folder.

Enabling the pack

1. Start Minecraft with your shader loader active.

2. Open Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs.

3. Click Open Shader Pack Folder. Make sure the CRShaders file is in the shaderpacks folder. Leave the file zipped unless the loader shows it as unreadable.

4. Go back to the Shader Packs screen. Select CRShaders from the list and click Apply or Done.

5. Load a world. Expect a short pause while the shaders compile.

Confirming it is active

Stand somewhere open in daylight, ideally a grassy area with trees and a building nearby. With CRShaders running, you should see:

  • Softer shadows across grass, trees and buildings, without harsh, jagged edges.
  • Brighter, cleaner daytime colors that make the landscape look painted rather than blocky.
  • A painted sky with soft clouds in place of the vanilla sky.

If the world still looks like vanilla, go back to the Shader Packs screen. Check that CRShaders is highlighted as the selected pack, and not "Off" or "(internal)". If the pack does not appear in the list, it is probably in the wrong folder. Move it into shaderpacks, then reopen the menu.
