Turn On ColorFul Optimized Shaders in Iris or OptiFine
ColorFul Optimized is a shader pack, so it only works through a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine. It does not go in your resourcepacks folder.
Put the pack in the right folder
1. Launch Minecraft with your shader loader active, then go to Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs.
2. Click Open Shader Pack Folder. This opens the shaderpacks folder inside your game directory.
3. Drop the ColorFul Optimized file into that folder. Leave it as a .zip file and do not unzip it.
4. Go back to the game. The pack should now appear in the shader list.
Activate and check it
1. Select ColorFul Optimized in the list and click Apply or Done. The screen may freeze briefly while the shaders compile.
2. Load a world in daylight. Grass, leaves, water and stone should look noticeably more saturated than vanilla. The lighting should also look cleaner.
3. To go back to the plain vanilla look, open the same menu and choose Off (OptiFine) or turn shaders off (Iris).
If the pack doesn't show up:
- Make sure the file is in
shaderpacks, notresourcepacks. - Confirm the game is actually running Iris or OptiFine. The Shader Packs button only exists when a loader is installed.
- Restart the game after adding the file.
