Get Smooth Frame Rates on a Low-End PC with ColorFul Optimized
ColorFul Optimized is built to run on budget graphics cards and older hardware. It aims to hold steady frame rates during fast movement and exploration. If you're still seeing stutter, your vanilla video settings are usually the cause.
Tune the vanilla video settings
Open Options → Video Settings and adjust these first:
1. Render Distance: This has the biggest impact on performance. Lower it a few steps at a time until your frame rate feels smooth.
2. Simulation Distance: Lower this if your CPU is weak. Fewer active chunks means less background work.
3. Max Framerate / VSync: If the image tears, turn on VSync. If you get input lag, turn it off and set a frame cap your PC can reach.
4. Clouds and Particles: Lower these if busy scenes still drop frames.
5. Biome Blend: Reduce it to cut chunk-loading cost.
Test while moving
The pack's strength is staying fluid while you travel, so test the same way:
- Sprint or fly through new terrain and watch for hitches as chunks load.
- Open the debug screen with F3 to watch your FPS while you move.
- If FPS only drops while new chunks load, lower Render Distance further.
- If FPS is low even when you're standing still, close background programs. Also make sure your laptop is using its dedicated graphics card, if it has one.
Keeping these settings modest lets the pack's colors and lighting shine without costing you smoothness.
