Adjust Film Grain and Dither Intensity

Access Shader Settings

Open the Shader Options menu while in-game by pressing the key bound to shader settings (typically accessed through your graphics menu or a dedicated keybind). Look for CinderFrame-specific options in the list.

Fine-Tune Visual Effects

Locate sliders or toggles for:

  • Film Grain: Controls the intensity of the retro grain overlay. Lower values create a cleaner look; higher values increase the analog tape aesthetic.
  • Dither Effect: Adjusts the PS1-style dithering pattern. Reduce this if the effect feels too heavy on performance or visually distracting.
  • Camera Weave: Dial down the handheld camera shake if it causes motion sickness, or increase it for a more authentic found-footage feel.

Apply and Test

After adjusting each setting, observe how your world changes in real-time. The violet shadows and light halos should remain consistent regardless of grain settings. Test in different lighting conditions—caves, forests, and bright daylight—to ensure the effect feels balanced across all environments. Save your preferred configuration so it persists across sessions.
