Adjust Pixelation Level for Arcade-Style Graphics

Finding Pixelation Settings

Pixelation settings control how blocky your world appears. Access these through your shader options menu—typically found in Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options when the pack is active.

Tuning the Effect

Look for resolution or pixelation scale sliders. Lower values create more extreme pixelation, making individual pixels larger and the world look more like a classic arcade cabinet. Higher values reduce the effect, keeping more visual detail.

Start with a moderate setting and adjust in small increments to find your preferred retro look. The effect applies globally to all blocks, mobs, and the sky.

Performance Consideration

Higher pixelation levels (smaller pixel size) may demand more from your GPU since the shader processes more visual information. If you experience lag, increase pixelation to reduce the workload. Test different settings in areas with varied terrain to see how it affects your framerate.
