Verify the mod is working correctly

Visual confirmation

1. Load a world and look at the sky during the day when both the sun and moon are visible.

2. Observe the moon's position relative to the sun. With the mod active, the moon should appear in front of the sun rather than behind it.

3. If you have a data pack that moves the moon, trigger an eclipse event and watch the moon pass smoothly over the sun without clipping or visual artifacts.

Performance check

The mod is designed for low-end computers. After installing:

  • Check your frame rate in the same world before and after adding the mod
  • You should see no noticeable performance drop
  • If frame rate drops significantly, the mod may not be the cause—check for conflicting shader packs or heavy data packs

Troubleshooting

If the moon still appears behind the sun:

  • Verify the mod is in your mods folder
  • Restart the game completely
  • Check that you're not using a shader pack that overrides sky rendering

The mod works silently—there are no settings to configure, only visual results to observe.
