Customize Colored Lighting from Light Sources
Locate Lighting Options
Open the shader settings menu and find the section for colored lighting, light emission, or "dynamic lights." This controls how torches, glowstone, and other light sources cast colored glows.
Adjust Light Behavior
Configure these options:
- Light color intensity: Increases or decreases how vividly torches and light blocks tint nearby surfaces with warm orange, blue, or other colors.
- Light bloom/glow: Adds a soft halo around bright light sources, making them feel more luminous.
- Light radius: Extends or shrinks the area affected by colored lighting, controlling how far a torch's glow spreads.
Test in Different Environments
Build a small test area with various light sources: torches, lanterns, glowstone, and soul lanterns. Adjust settings and observe how each light type interacts with surrounding blocks. Warm lights (torches) should cast orange tones, while cooler lights (soul lanterns) cast blue. If lighting feels too intense or washes out colors, reduce intensity. If it's too subtle, increase bloom and radius.
Cave exploration shows colored lighting most dramatically—return to a cave system after adjusting to see the full effect.
