Troubleshoot Visual Glitches and Compatibility Issues
Common Visual Problems
If textures appear washed out or overly bright, adjust the brightness slider in Shader Options downward. If colors look muted despite the shader being active, verify the shader is actually enabled in your Video Settings—sometimes it defaults to "Off."
If certain blocks or mobs render incorrectly (missing outlines, strange coloring), try disabling other visual mods temporarily. Cartoonikal Shaders works best with vanilla textures; incompatible texture packs may cause rendering issues.
Performance and Crashes
If the game stutters or crashes after enabling the shader, lower your render distance and disable advanced graphics options in Video Settings. Ensure your graphics driver is up to date. If problems persist, try removing other shader-related mods or resource packs that might conflict.
Resetting to Defaults
If you've adjusted settings and want to start fresh, delete the shader's configuration file from your .minecraft folder and restart the game. The shader will reload with default settings.
