Fix Water Looking Unrealistic or Too Bright
Check Water Reflection Settings
Open shader settings and locate water-related options. Look for reflection quality, refraction strength, or water brightness controls. If water appears overly bright or mirror-like, reduce reflection intensity.
Adjust Transparency and Depth
Water should show the ocean or river floor beneath it. If it looks opaque or too shiny, lower the reflection value and increase transparency or depth perception. This makes underwater visibility feel more natural.
Modify Wave and Caustic Effects
If available, wave height or caustic (underwater light pattern) intensity can be adjusted. Reducing these makes water calmer and less distracting while keeping it visually appealing.
Compare Different Water Bodies
Test your changes in oceans, rivers, and rain. Different water depths should look different—deep ocean darker than shallow rivers. If all water looks identical, you may need to adjust depth-based settings or fog underwater.
