Adjust Shader Brightness and Contrast for Your Setup
Access Shader Settings
Press the shader settings key (default: right-click on the shader name in your video settings, or use the in-game shader menu). Look for brightness, contrast, and exposure sliders.
Fine-Tune Lighting
Start by adjusting brightness if daytime feels washed out or nighttime is too dark. Increase brightness gradually to avoid losing shadow detail. Next, modify contrast to make shadows deeper and highlights pop—this helps the realistic lighting feel more defined.
Test Across Day and Night
Load into your world and observe lighting at different times. Stand in shadowed areas and open sky to see how adjustments affect both. If caves feel too dark, raise brightness slightly. If you lose detail in bright areas, reduce exposure.
Save Your Preferences
Once satisfied, your settings save automatically. If you switch between different graphics cards or monitors, you may need to readjust for optimal appearance on each setup.
