Troubleshoot Uneven Lighting or Color Banding
Identify the Problem
If you notice uneven lighting patches, harsh color transitions, or visible bands of color across your world, this is often caused by shader settings conflicting with your graphics card or driver. First, confirm the issue appears consistently in the same locations.
Reset to Default Settings
Return to the shader options and select the default or recommended preset. This resets all custom adjustments. If the problem disappears, a specific setting was causing it. If it persists, the issue may be hardware-related.
Adjust Precision Settings
Look for options related to shadow precision, color bit depth, or dithering. Increasing precision can reduce banding. Some shaders offer anti-banding filters—enable these if available.
Update or Verify Compatibility
Ensure your graphics drivers are current. Older drivers sometimes struggle with shader effects. Also verify that BloxShade is compatible with your current Minecraft version and any other mods you're running. Conflicting mods can cause visual glitches. If problems persist after these steps, try disabling other visual mods temporarily to isolate the cause.
