Optimize BloxShade for Better Performance
Check Your Current Frame Rate
Before optimizing, launch Minecraft with BloxShade enabled and check your frame rate using F3 (or your debug screen). Note your typical FPS in different environments—open sky, dense forests, and indoors.
Reduce Visual Quality Settings
Enter the shader options menu and look for quality or performance presets. BloxShade typically offers options to lower shadow resolution, reduce color processing intensity, or disable certain lighting effects. Start by selecting a lower preset if available.
Fine-Tune Individual Features
If presets don't help enough, access individual settings. Disable or reduce shadow map resolution, lower the number of shadow samples, or decrease color correction intensity. These changes have the biggest impact on performance.
Monitor Results
After each adjustment, return to your world and check FPS again. The goal is finding the balance where the shader still looks good but runs smoothly on your hardware. Standard hardware should handle BloxShade well, but older systems may need more aggressive reductions.
