Maximize Daytime Landscape Visuals
Optimize Lighting Conditions
Beyond Horizons excels at rendering open landscapes during the day. To get the most cinematic daytime views:
- Play during midday: The shader's sunlight is most striking when the sun is high. Visit your world around noon (Minecraft time) for peak lighting quality.
- Explore open areas: Plains, deserts, and ocean biomes showcase the semi-realistic sunlight and soft block shadows best. Avoid dense forests where shadows become muddy.
- Use high render distance: Set your render distance to at least 16 chunks to see the shader's sky rendering across the full horizon.
Enhance Your Screenshots
- Position yourself at elevation: Hills, mountains, and tall structures let you see expansive landscapes with the shader's cinematic sky.
- Face the sun: Positioning the sun behind or to the side of your subject creates dramatic lighting and shadow contrast.
- Clear weather preferred: Rain and storms reduce the clarity the shader is known for.
The shader's strength is in clean, bright visuals—lean into open-world exploration to appreciate the full effect.
