How to Turn On Bad Shaders and Play Bad Apple in Your Sky

Bad Shaders is a shader pack, so it needs a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine. Once it's active, the normal blocky clouds are replaced by the Bad Apple music video, playing frame by frame in black and white.

Activate the pack

1. Launch Minecraft with your shader loader installed.

2. Open Options > Video Settings and click Shader Packs (the exact name varies slightly between loaders).

3. Find Bad Shaders in the list. If it's missing, use the button that opens the shader pack folder and check that the pack file is inside it. It belongs in the shader packs folder, not the resourcepacks folder.

4. Select Bad Shaders and click Apply or Done.

Find the video

1. Load a world and stand somewhere in the Overworld with open sky above you.

2. Look up at the clouds. The animation replaces the standard cloud rendering, so it plays wherever clouds would normally appear.

3. Keep watching. The video runs as a loop, so it starts again after it finishes, for as long as you play.

If you see ordinary clouds or nothing at all, return to the Shader Packs screen and confirm Bad Shaders is the selected pack. Only one shader pack can be active at a time. Also check that clouds aren't switched off in your video settings.
