Use Warm Torch, Lantern and Glowstone Light to Style Your Builds
Aloo Shaders gives torches, lanterns and glowstone a warmer light color. It also softens block shadows on player builds. You can use both effects to make your bases look cozier without changing any textures.
Plan your lighting
1. Build or pick a room and stand inside it at night, with AlooShaders active.
2. Place one light source at a time: a torch, then a lantern, then a glowstone block. Compare how each one's warm glow spreads across your walls.
3. Use glowstone hidden in floors or ceilings for broad, even warmth.
4. Use lanterns and torches for visible accent points along walls, doorways and paths.
Work with the shadows
- Outdoor builds get softened shadows from the sun and moon. Overhangs, roofs and pillars will cast gentler shapes rather than harsh edges.
- Add depth to flat walls by stepping blocks in and out. The softer shadows will pick out the layers.
- Check your build at both day and night. The pack gives each time of day a distinct ambiance, so a facade that looks bright at noon can feel very different under moonlight.
Show it off
Take screenshots at dusk, when warm block light starts to contrast with the fading daylight. Because the original textures are preserved, your build will still read clearly as Minecraft.
