Fix Aloo Shaders Not Showing or Switch Back to Vanilla

If Aloo Shaders doesn't seem to change anything, or you want to compare it with vanilla, these steps cover the common cases.

Pack doesn't appear or has no effect

1. Check for a loader. Shader packs need a loader such as Iris or OptiFine. Without one, there is no Shader Packs menu at all.

2. Check the folder. The pack must be in the shaderpacks folder, not resourcepacks. Placing it in the resource pack list will not activate it.

3. Check the selection. Open Video Settings → Shader Packs and make sure AlooShaders is highlighted. Then apply the change.

4. Know what to look for. The pack keeps vanilla block textures, so the differences are subtle. Test with a torch in a dark room, where the light should look warmer. You can also look at shadows outdoors, which should look softer.

Compare with vanilla or turn it off

1. Open the Shader Packs screen again.

2. Select the option for no shaders. Depending on your loader, it is labelled something like Off, None or (internal).

3. Apply and look at the same spot. Torches will look cooler, and day and night will feel less distinct.

4. Switch back to AlooShaders whenever you like. Your world is not affected either way, because the pack only changes visuals.
