Turn On A Sluggy Hike Shaders in Your Game
A Sluggy Hike Shaders is a shader pack, so it needs a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine. Make sure you launch Minecraft through the profile that has your loader installed before you start.
Put the pack where the loader can find it
1. From the main menu, open Options > Video Settings.
2. Click Shader Packs in Iris, or Shaders in OptiFine.
3. Click the button that opens the shader pack folder. This opens your shaderpacks folder.
4. Drop the A Sluggy Hike Shaders file into that folder and leave it zipped. Do not put it in resourcepacks. That folder is for texture packs, and the shader will not load from there.
5. Return to the game. The list should refresh and show the pack.
Switch it on and check it works
1. Click A Sluggy Hike Shaders in the list to select it.
2. Click Apply, then Done. In OptiFine, selecting the pack applies it right away.
3. Load a world and step outside during the day.
The whole world should take on a clean, stylized look, with bright and clear colours across the landscape. If everything still looks like vanilla, go back to the shader menu. Confirm the pack is highlighted and that shaders are not set to off.
If the pack never appears in the list, open the zip. Check that it does not contain another zip or folder nested inside it. A loader often cannot read a pack that has been wrapped twice.
