Turn On Viking Armory and Confirm Your Armor Has Changed
Viking Armory is a resource pack, so it only takes effect once it is enabled in the game's Resource Packs menu.
Enabling the pack
1. From the title screen or pause menu, open Options and then Resource Packs.
2. If Viking Armory is not listed, click Open Pack Folder, place the pack file in the resourcepacks folder that opens, and return to the game. The list refreshes automatically.
3. Find Viking Armory under Available and click the arrow to move it to Selected.
4.
Checking that it works
The quickest test is to put on any armor and press F5 to switch to third-person view. Check these pieces:
- Iron should look like lamellar armor with a northern helmet and chainmail at the sides.
- Chainmail should show individual metal links rather than a flat gray mesh.
- Diamond should be full scale armor with mail covering the face and draping over the chest.
If your armor still looks vanilla, return to the Resource Packs menu. Packs higher in the Selected list override the ones below them. If another pack that changes armor sits above Viking Armory, move Viking Armory higher or disable the other pack. Then click Done and check again.
