Adjusting Moon Phases in Your World

The Sun & Moon Reimagined Resource Pack displays realistic moon phases that cycle through the lunar calendar. To see all phases clearly, you'll need to play through multiple in-game days.

Tracking the Lunar Cycle

Moon phases change automatically as time passes in your world. Each phase lasts several in-game days before transitioning to the next. The pack includes:

  • Full moon (brightest, most detailed)
  • Waning gibbous and crescent phases
  • New moon (darkest)
  • Waxing phases returning to full

To observe specific phases, use the /time set command to advance to different times. Set time to 13000-14000 ticks to see the moon clearly in the night sky. If you want to see a particular phase repeatedly, note the in-game day it occurs and return to that time.

Visibility Tips

Moon phases are most visible when:

  • You're in an open area with clear sky view
  • There are minimal light sources nearby
  • You're playing during night (time 12500-23500)
  • Clouds aren't obscuring the sky

The detailed textures show best from ground level looking upward.
