Understand How StriderZ Affects Strider Behavior

Textures Only—No Behavior Changes

StriderZ is purely a visual resource pack. It changes only the appearance of striders when they enter the Overworld. All mob behaviors, AI, and mechanics remain completely unchanged. Striders will still:

• Move and pathfind normally
• Accept riders and carry passengers
• Respond to saddles and control items
• Interact with other mobs as usual
• Spawn and despawn according to normal rules

Why This Matters

You can use zombified striders in survival or adventure builds without worrying about unexpected behavior changes. They function identically to regular striders—they just look undead. This makes StriderZ safe for multiplayer servers and modpacks where mob behavior consistency is important. The transformation is purely cosmetic, matching how piglins and hoglins change appearance outside the Nether.
