Set Up StriderZ to Display Zombified Striders
Install Required Dependencies
StriderZ is a resource pack that changes how striders look, but it needs additional software to work. You must install either OptiFine or Entity Texture Features on your client—the pack cannot display custom strider textures without one of these mods.
Choose one:
- OptiFine: A popular optimization mod that also enables custom entity textures
- Entity Texture Features: A lightweight alternative designed specifically for custom mob skins
Load the Resource Pack
Once your texture mod is installed, add StriderZ to your resource packs folder. In the Minecraft launcher, go to Options > Resource Packs and move StriderZ to the active list. Make sure it ranks above the Default pack so its textures take priority.
Test in the Overworld
Create a world or join a server where you can access striders. Bring a strider from the Nether to the Overworld—you should immediately see it transform into a zombified version with rotting skin. If you see no change, verify that your texture mod is active and StriderZ is loaded above Default in your pack list.
