Shureee’s Block Icons Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to do anything after installing this pack or does it just work?
The pack works automatically once installed—just load into your world and open your inventory to see the badges on marked items. No configuration or setup is needed.
Will the badges show up on blocks I've already placed in my world?
No, the badges only appear on items inside your inventory screens. Placed blocks in your world look completely normal, so your builds won't change appearance.
How do I tell if a copper block is waxed or not?
Open your inventory and look at the copper item—waxed copper blocks will have a small star icon on their inventory icon. Unwaxed copper will not have this badge.
Can I accidentally trigger a trapped chest if I'm not paying attention?
The pack marks trapped chests with a redstone dust symbol in your inventory, so you can identify them before placing or opening them. Check for the badge before interacting with suspicious chests.
What's the difference between infested stone and regular stone in my inventory?
Infested stone blocks display a small silverfish badge on their inventory icon, while regular stone has no badge. This lets you sort them apart before building.
Does this pack work with other resource packs?
Yes, but load this pack after any other packs in your resource pack list so its badges display correctly on top of other textures.
Will this pack slow down my game or cause lag?
No, this is a lightweight resource pack that only modifies inventory textures and has no performance impact.
Do potions get badges too, or just blocks?
Potions also receive visual badges—different potion effects get small icons (like a feather for Slow Falling or a cobweb for Weaving) so you can identify them at a glance in your inventory.
What happens if I disable the pack—do my items stay marked?
No, the badges only appear when the pack is active. Disabling it removes all the icons, and your items return to their vanilla appearance.
Does this work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this on any server without needing permission or installation on the server itself.
