Common Causes

PolyTone not active: Rainbow's Foliage requires PolyTone to function. Check your mod list to confirm it's installed and loaded.

Conflicting texture packs: Other resource packs may override the bushy leaf textures. Remove competing packs or reorder them so Rainbow's Foliage loads last (highest priority).

Leaves haven't generated: Some custom leaf types only appear on newly grown trees. Plant saplings or explore ungenerated chunks to see the effect.

Verification Steps

1. Load a world with only Rainbow's Foliage and PolyTone active

2. Find or grow a tree (vanilla or modded)

3. Look at the leaves from different angles—they should protrude outward, not lie flat

4. If still flat, check your resource pack folder to ensure the pack extracted correctly

File Size Check

Because this pack uses a single model file per leaf type, it's very small. If your pack folder seems corrupted or incomplete, re-download and extract it fresh. The compact design means there's little to go wrong—most issues stem from mod load order or conflicting packs.
