Building Your First Backrooms Level 0 Corridor

Setting Up the Foundation

Start by placing yellow wool blocks to form the floor of your corridor. This will automatically render as stained, damp carpet with the MineRooms pack active. Build walls using bamboo or birch wood planks—these transform into the characteristic yellow wallpaper of Level 0. For variety, mix in some plain bamboo wood blocks to create blank wall sections.

Adding Atmosphere

Replace standard light sources with sea lanterns to create flickering fluorescent ceiling lights. Position them in a grid pattern across your ceiling for an authentic office building feel. Use polished diorite or polished granite blocks for floor tiles and ceiling panels to break up the monotony.

For industrial details, swap iron trapdoors into your walls to become air vents. This adds depth and realism to your corridors. If you want to create hidden doorways, use bamboo planks or stripped bamboo with blue tape markings—these blocks gain distinctive tape door outlines that guide players toward secret passages.

Keep corridors long and repetitive to capture that unsettling liminal space aesthetic. The pack's textures do most of the atmospheric work for you.
