What This Pack Changes

Improved Boss Bars is a resource pack, not a mod, so it works purely by replacing textures. It swaps out the vanilla boss health bar at the top of the screen for hand-drawn frames and stylized lettering, giving major encounters a more decorative look without touching gameplay.

Bar Colors and Segments

The pack redraws all seven vanilla boss bar colors: pink, blue, red, green, yellow, purple, and white. It also includes matching art for segmented bars, which appear on bosses that use multiple notches. Each segmented style keeps its clear notch marks, with versions drawn for bars split into six, ten, twelve, and twenty segments.

Name Plates and Lettering

Standard boss names are replaced with hand-drawn lettering on dedicated plates, so each fight reads as its own labeled encounter rather than plain text. Custom name plates are included for vanilla fights such as the Ender Dragon. Because everything is texture-based, installing or removing the pack only changes appearance, and any boss using a supported bar color or segment count will pick up the new art automatically.
