Set Up Glowing Effects for the First Time
Install a Shader or Mod Loader
This resource pack requires either Optifine or Continuity to display glowing textures. Without one of these, blocks will appear normal.
For Optifine:
- Download and install Optifine for your Minecraft version
- Launch the game with the Optifine profile
For Continuity:
- Install Continuity through a mod loader like Fabric or Forge
- Ensure the mod is in your mods folder before launching
Load the Resource Pack
1. Place the Glowing Blocks and Ores Resource Pack in your resourcepacks folder
2. Open Minecraft and go to Options → Resource Packs
3. Find the pack in the available list and click the arrow to move it to active packs
4. Confirm the pack is above the default textures in your active list
5. Create a new world or load an existing one
Verify It's Working
Enter a dark cave or mine at night. Look for ores, trial spawners, or Nether blocks—they should emit a bright glow. If you see no glow, double-check that Optifine or Continuity is active and the resource pack is enabled.
